Car Insurance Scion (Car Insurance). Where is the clutch on a Legends Race Car?Where is the clutch on a Legends Race Car? From the research I've been doing on the Legends Race car, I found out that u have to brake using ur left foot, and once I found that out, I automatically became confused as to where the clutch may be positioned in the floor..So I was wondering, wouldn't it be hard to brake and downshift at the same time (like ur suppose to when approaching a turn at high speeds anywayz) going into a turn if the car has "left foot" brake action and if the clutch just happens to be on the left side? But if u can still use ur right foot to brake without it being supa awkward, (I'm talkin like trying to brake with ur right foot in a go-kart type of awkward) then I guess that would anwser my question. Problem with car battery or alternator? Hey guys, I have a question. Today when i was at work, my car died. I was trying to start it up, but it wouldn't. All you can hear is clicking under the hood. I knew it was something with battery so i asked my friend to give me a jump start, which worked without problem. My 99 civic started up, and ran like a champ, the lights were on,and everything was cool. But when i got home, i turned the car off and tried to turn it back on, but it was same as before, wouldnt even make a sound, the interior overhead lights are out and no lights are working, car is dead. So i jumped it again and it was running good, but after shutting it, dead again. Is it a problem with my alternator or the battery is completely drained? Please help me out, i dont know if i need to buy new battery or alternator. car insurance. Auto parts : > Hoist System Mitsubishi 2007. Hole Saw Nissan 2008. Hood Pins Oldsmobile 2009. Now Honda is telling me that I need my timing belt changed, but I'm wondering if they just want my 750$. In their books it says to change after 7yrs or 161,000km. But my car has barely been driven and only has 66,000km on it, should I get it changed or wait till it's closer to the 100,000km mark? Also another question. My civic has a vtec engine and I'm told that it is a "high rev" engine. I occasionally like to accelerate quickly in my car by taking it to 4000-5500rpm (redline is somewhere between 7-8rpm), because that's where the engine accelerates quickly. Is this bad for a vtec engine or is it built for it? car insurance. Auto parts : Headlight Trim Screwdriver Dodge 2005. Headliner Adhesive Eagle 2006. Headset Ford 2007. Heater Geo 2008. Scion . How to Rebuild a Ford CarburetorA carburetor is a mechanical device that combines air and fuel in an internal combustion engine. The carburetor controls the flow of air into an engine; the speed of the air entering the engine determines the amount of air pressure in the engine. The air pressure impacts the amount of fuel being drawn into the jet stream and ultimately entering the engine. A carburetor in a Ford vehicle plays the important role of optimizing the efficiency of the vehicle's engine and fuel consumption. As your Ford ages, you may need to rebuild the carburetor to ensure the optimal performance of your vehicle. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Carburetor air filter Flathead screwdriver Filled oil can Wire scrub brush 8-inch steel swivel screw Phillips-head screwdriver Adjustable wrench Dry cloth 6-inch steel bolt Step by Step : 1 Remove the air filter from the top of the carburetor. If the filter is corroded, pry it loose with the flathead screwdriver. 2 Scrub the area around the filter with the wire brush. Pop the new air filter into place. 3 Unscrew the choke valve using the Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the old screw. 4 Oil the choke valve in the area around the screw with the oil can and refasten the choke valve to the inside of the carburetor using the new swivel screw. Tap the choke valve a few times to make sure it rotates freely. 5Carburetor Metering Rods Open the fuel delivery compartment and using the adjustable wrench, remove the metering rod. Discard the old bolt that was used to attach the metering rod to the mechanical linkage. 6 Clean the metering rod thoroughly using the dry cloth to remove oil and other residue. If necessary, apply some WD-40 or baking soda to loosen the residue. 7 Oil the mechanical linkage that attaches to the top of the metering rod. Make sure that the mechanical linkage moves freely by tapping it a few times. 8 Reattach the top of the metering rod to the mechanical linkage using the new 6-inch steel bolt and the adjustable wrench. 9 Unscrew the float valve using the adjustable wrench. Check the attachment area for corrosion. You may be able to clean the attachment area using the dry cloth, but if there is too much corrosion, the float valve will need to be replaced. Step by Step : 10 Scrub the inside of the fuel nozzle with the wire brush to ensure that the nozzle's pathway to the air intake area is clear. Also scrub the inside of the float chamber using the wire brush. Re-attach the float valve to the inside of the float chamber using the adjustable wrench. Tips & Warnings You can order replacement parts for a Ford carburetor from an auto parts distributor such as Auto Parts Warehouse (see Resources). If the dry cloth does not remove the corrosion on the various pieces, you may want to spray the pieces with WD-40 or coat them in baking soda. Always wear appropriate clothing when working with engine parts. Long pants, gloves, closed-toe shoes and eye protection should be worn at all times. ResourcesFord Motor CompanyAuto Parts Warehouse

If the engine turns over but doesn't start running, it may not be getting fuel. The first question you need to answer is whether you're out of gas. Even if your gas gauge says that you still have some, the gauge may be on the blink. When did you last fill the tank? If your car lost power before it died, take note of the following to see whether fuel is getting to the engine: * Sometimes the problem is too much fuel. If you open the hood and find that everything is covered with gasoline, don't try to start the car! Gasoline is too flammable to monkey around with. Just hoist that white Scion . Occasionally, a vehicle gets so hot that the gasoline boils in the fuel line and forms bubbles that keep the fuel from getting to the fuel injectors or carburetor. The symptoms are easy to spot: Your engine just suddenly stops running, with no prior warning. Happily, the remedy isn't difficult: Simply open the hood, wrap a wet rag around the fuel line between the fuel pump and the fuel injectors or carburetor, and wait for things to cool down. Scion . The pressure in the overheated system can cause hot liquid to spray out and burn you. If you don't have a wet rag, wrap aluminum foil around the fuel line and leave it in place after you get started. No aluminum foil? Then just sit there and wait for the darn thing to cool down. Eventually, the vapor lock will go away.
